Welcome to the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Freedom of Information Act Public Access Link
This portal provides members of the public with basic information on accessing records maintained by ACF.
Before Submitting a FOIA Request
The Freedom of Information Act, or FOIA, is a law that provides any person access to agency records, except to the extent that such agency records or portions of those records are protected from disclosure by one or more of the nine FOIA exemptions. The records you seek may already be publicly available on ACF's website. The ACF site has a wealth of information about popular topics, public initiatives, and the Assistant Secretary’s priorities. Our website provides details about each of ACF's offices and related programs. You might be able to find what you need, when you need it, at your convenience without filing a FOIA request.
ACF Program Offices
The links below take you to each program office’s website. Once there, you can access information about the office, their respective programs, and related resources. View the ACF Organization Chart.
Submit a FOIA Request Online
You must register to create an online profile or to log in to your existing profile to submit a FOIA request.

The records you are seeking may already be available in the ACF e-reading room.
Check the Status of a FOIA Request
